Jeoparklar\u0131n co\u011frafi unsurlar\u0131n korunmas\u0131n\u0131 sa\u011flayan bir stat\u00fc oldu\u011funu belirten Prof. Dr. Ko\u00e7man, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde d\u00fcnya turizmindeki geli\u015fmelere paralel olarak, turistlerin b\u00fcy\u00fck bir \u00e7o\u011funlu\u011funun yenilik ve \u00e7e\u015fitlilik isteklerinin \u00f6n plana ge\u00e7ti\u011fini dile getirdi. Prof. Dr. Ko\u00e7man, &#8220;Bu nedenle alternatif turizm t\u00fcrlerine ilgi artm\u0131\u015f ve bu ba\u011flamda do\u011fal, sosyal ve k\u00fclt\u00fcrel konular\u0131 i\u00e7eren turizm alanlar\u0131 \u00f6nem kazanm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. \u0130lgin\u00e7 ve nadir baz\u0131 do\u011fal de\u011ferlere sahip y\u00f6reler, turizmde \u00fcr\u00fcn \u00e7e\u015fitlendirme \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar\u0131 kapsam\u0131nda, \u00f6zel ilgi alanlar\u0131 olarak \u00f6ne \u00e7\u0131kar\u0131labilir&#8221; dedi. Kula y\u00f6resinin jeolojik yap\u0131 ve jeomorfolojik unsurlar\u0131n \u00e7e\u015fitlili\u011fi bak\u0131m\u0131ndan \u00fclkemizin, belki de d\u00fcnyan\u0131n nadir, az rastlanan yerlerinden birisi oldu\u011funu a\u00e7\u0131klayan Prof. Dr. Ko\u00e7man, &#8220;Y\u00f6rede g\u00f6r\u00fclen ve \u00fc\u00e7 ayr\u0131 nesli temsil eden volkan konileri, lav ak\u0131nt\u0131lar\u0131, t\u00fcf \u00f6rt\u00fcs\u00fc ve peribacalar\u0131 ilgin\u00e7 jeomorfolojisi ile herkesin ilgisini \u00e7ekmektedir. Y\u00f6renin bu ilgin\u00e7 do\u011fal varl\u0131klar\u0131 yan\u0131nda antik yerle\u015fmeler, geleneksel mimari, el sanatlar\u0131 gibi zengin k\u00fclt\u00fcrel de\u011ferleri turizme entegre edilmek surietiyle etkin bir bilim ve k\u00fclt\u00fcr hizmeti ger\u00e7ekle\u015ftirilmi\u015f olacakt\u0131r&#8221; diye konu\u015ftu.
