Prof. Dr. Nuri Bilgin, bu olay\u0131n toplumumuz a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan tekil bir olay olmad\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131, olduk\u00e7a yayg\u0131n bir ruh halini yans\u0131tt\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 s\u00f6yledi. Bu t\u00fcr olaylarda insanlar\u0131n benlik kavramlar\u0131n\u0131, di\u011ferleri \u00f6n\u00fcndeki imajlar\u0131na dayand\u0131rmalar\u0131n\u0131n s\u00f6z konusu oldu\u011funu a\u00e7\u0131klayan Prof. Dr. Bilgin, &#8220;B\u00f6ylesi bir durumda insan i\u00e7in \u00f6nemli olan sosyal imajlar\u0131n\u0131 y\u00fckseltmek ya da en az\u0131ndan korumakt\u0131r. Temel motivasyon ba\u015fkalar\u0131n\u0131n \u00f6n\u00fcnde k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck d\u00fc\u015fmemek, a\u00e7\u0131k vermemektir. Grubun kendine kar\u015f\u0131 bak\u0131\u015f\u0131nda ay\u0131planma, a\u015fa\u011f\u0131lanma duygusuna kap\u0131lmak, sosyal olarak d\u0131\u015flanmak hatta hi\u00e7 olmak anlam\u0131n\u0131 ta\u015f\u0131r. Ki\u015fiyi k\u00fc\u00e7\u00fck d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcren her \u015fey, onun sosyal \u00e7ehresini kaybetmesi, di\u011ferlerinin y\u00fcz\u00fcne bakamamas\u0131, insan i\u00e7ine \u00e7\u0131kamamas\u0131 gibi sonu\u00e7lara yol a\u00e7maktad\u0131r&#8221; dedi. T\u00f6re veya namus cinayetlerinde de ayn\u0131 mekanizman\u0131n i\u015fledi\u011fini hat\u0131rlatan Prof. Dr. Bilgin, &#8220;Toplumsal normlar\u0131n tarif etti\u011fi aile imaj\u0131, aile \u00fcyelerinden biri taraf\u0131ndan zedelendi\u011finde t\u00fcm aile sosyal kimli\u011fi yaralanm\u0131\u015f gibi tepki g\u00f6stermektedir&#8221; diye konu\u015ftu.
