Filmlerinde \u00f6znelli\u011fini kullanmaktan yanay\u0131m&#8221; dedi. &#8220;Kurgusal filmde y\u00f6netmenin amac\u0131 kendi fikirlerini ve \u00f6znelli\u011fini gizlemektir&#8221; diyen Ay\u015fe Polat, &#8220;Zaman ge\u00e7tik\u00e7e \u00e7ekti\u011finiz her filmde ger\u00e7ekli\u011fi yans\u0131tmaya ba\u015fl\u0131yorsunuz. Ger\u00e7ekleri dile getirmek ve bunu filme aktarmak bir y\u00f6netmenin en b\u00fcy\u00fck ba\u015far\u0131s\u0131d\u0131r&#8221; diye konu\u015ftu. Uzun ve k\u0131sa metrajl\u0131 filmler aras\u0131nda \u00e7ok b\u00fcy\u00fck bir fark oldu\u011funu savunan Polat, &#8220;K\u0131sa metrajl\u0131 film \u00e7ok risklidir \u00e7\u00fcnk\u00fc her \u015feyi k\u0131sa bir s\u00fcrede izleyiciye vermelisiniz. Ama uzun metrajl\u0131 filmde y\u00f6netmen kendini daha rahat ifade eder. Ger\u00e7ekleri daha iyi bir bi\u00e7imde seyirciye sunar&#8221; dedi. Senaryo yaz\u0131m\u0131 hakk\u0131nda da ipu\u00e7lar\u0131 veren Ay\u015fe Polat, senaryo olu\u015fturulurken g\u00fcnl\u00fck hayattan notlar al\u0131nmas\u0131 ve g\u00f6zlem yap\u0131lmas\u0131 gerekti\u011fini kaydetti. Senaryonun bir filmin temel ta\u015f\u0131 oldu\u011funu belirten Polat, &#8220;Senaryo g\u00fczel kurulursa film ak\u0131c\u0131 ve ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 olur&#8221; dedi. Sinemada her zaman b\u00fct\u00e7enin s\u0131n\u0131rland\u0131r\u0131c\u0131 etkisi bulundu\u011funu vurgulayan Y\u00f6netmen Ay\u015fe Polat, &#8220;Senaryodaki \u00f6nemli de\u011fi\u015fiklikler b\u00fct\u00e7ede kendini g\u00f6sterir. Y\u00f6netmenleri en \u00e7ok zorlayan prod\u00fcksiyondur. Her zaman para az gelir. Y\u00f6netmenlerin en b\u00fcy\u00fck sorunlar\u0131 da yap\u0131mc\u0131larla oluyor. Y\u00f6netmen ve yap\u0131mc\u0131n\u0131n bak\u0131\u015f a\u00e7\u0131lar\u0131 \u00e7ok farkl\u0131d\u0131r.
