Elektronik at\u0131klar\u0131n h\u0131zla birikimi sonucunda saklama alanlar\u0131n\u0131n giderek darald\u0131\u011f\u0131n\u0131 a\u00e7\u0131klayan Prof. Dr. Sa\u011flam, &#8220;Bunlar\u0131n yak\u0131larak yok edilmeleri durumunda, yanma esnas\u0131nda a\u00e7\u0131\u011fa \u00e7\u0131kan toksik \u00fcr\u00fcnler nedeniyle, g\u00f6m\u00fclmeleri durumunda da i\u00e7eriklerindeki toksik metalar nedeniyle; \u00e7evreye daha fazla zarar vereceklerinden bu i\u015flemlerin uygulanmas\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclmemelidir. Elektrik ve elektronik at\u0131klar\u0131n i\u00e7eri\u011finde ba\u015fta b\u00fcy\u00fck oranda bulunan polimer t\u00fcrlerinin yan\u0131nda g\u00fcm\u00fc\u015f ve alt\u0131n gibi k\u0131ymetli kur\u015fun, bak\u0131r, nikel, krom, civa, kalay gibi toksik metaller ile cam gibi malzemelerin bulundu\u011funu belirten Prof.Dr.Sa\u011flam, &#8220;Literat\u00fcrde metallerin geri kazan\u0131m\u0131na ili\u015fkin farkl\u0131 teknikler mevcuttur. Bunlar\u0131n ba\u015f\u0131nda asit ile s\u0131y\u0131rma-\u00e7\u00f6keltme ve iyon de\u011fi\u015fimi gelmektedir. En \u00e7ok uygulanan y\u00f6ntem ise \u00e7e\u015fitli inorganik asitlerle yap\u0131lan s\u0131y\u0131rma y\u00f6ntemidir. Bu \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmada at\u0131k olarak \u00e7e\u015fitli bilgisayar par\u00e7alar\u0131 kullan\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r.
