Ya\u015far \u00dcniversitesi Rekt\u00f6r\u00fc Prof. Dr. Murat Barkan ise Ord. Prof. Dr. Akurgal kadar derin ve e\u015fsiz tarih bilgisine sahip \u00e7ok ender insan bulundu\u011funu dile getirdi. Prof. Dr. \u015eadan G\u00f6koval\u0131, Ekrem Akurgal&#8217;\u0131n T\u00fcrkiye\u0092de arkeoloji denince akla gelen ilk isimlerden biri oldu\u011funu dile getirdi. Ege \u00dcniversitesi Edebiyat Fak\u00fcltesi Dekan\u0131 Prof. Dr. Altan \u00c7ilingiro\u011flu, \u0093\u00d6\u011frencilerini yeti\u015ftirme ve bildiklerini aktarabilme yetene\u011fi ile bizlere \u00f6rnek olmu\u015ftur. En g\u00fczel \u00f6zelliklerinden bir tanesi, arkeolojik kaz\u0131larda bile bir centilmen gibi giyinmesidir. Bu konuda ve bunun gibi bir\u00e7ok konuda bizlere iyi bir \u00f6rnek olmu\u015ftur\u0094 diye konu\u015ftu. Ege K\u00fclt\u00fcr Vakf\u0131 Ba\u015fkan\u0131 Azra \u0130nmeler, g\u00fcn\u00fcn an\u0131s\u0131na konu\u015fmac\u0131lara plaket verdi.
