E\u00dc Fen Fak\u00fcltesi Astronomi ve Uzay Bilimleri B\u00f6l\u00fcm Ba\u015fkan\u0131 Prof. Dr. Serdar Evren, Uluslararas\u0131 Astronomi Birli\u011fi&#8217;nin 2009 y\u0131l\u0131n\u0131, Galileo Galilei&#8217;nin 1609 y\u0131l\u0131nda teleskopla ilk astronomi g\u00f6zlemleri yap\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131n 400. y\u0131l\u0131 olmas\u0131 nedeniyle &#8220;Evren Sizi Bekliyor&#8221; temas\u0131 alt\u0131nda &#8220;D\u00fcnya Astronomi Y\u0131l\u0131 2009&#8221; olarak ilan etti\u011fini an\u0131msatt\u0131. Sergiye ili\u015fkin bilgi veren Prof. Dr. Serdar Evren, &#8220;Evrenin b\u00fcy\u00fcleyici g\u00f6r\u00fcnt\u00fcleri, b\u00fcy\u00fck teleskoplar veya atmosfer d\u0131\u015f\u0131ndaki uydular ve uzay ara\u00e7lar\u0131 taraf\u0131ndan \u00f6zel teknikler kullan\u0131larak \u00e7ekilmektedir. Bu foto\u011fraflar hem sanatsal de\u011ferlere sahip olurken, hem de bir\u00e7ok bilimsel ger\u00e7e\u011fi g\u00f6zler \u00f6n\u00fcne sermektedir. Uluslararas\u0131 Astronomi Birli\u011fi taraf\u0131ndan se\u00e7ilen foto\u011fraflar, t\u00fcm \u00fclkelerin sergi salonlar\u0131nda, sokaklar\u0131nda, k\u0131sacas\u0131 \u00e7ok say\u0131da insana ula\u015fabilecek her noktada sergilenmektedir.
