G\u00fcnden g\u00fcne artan bisiklet sevdas\u0131, bisiklet tutkunlar\u0131n\u0131n bir araya gelmeleri ve sosyal olu\u015fumlar\u0131n \u00e7o\u011falmas\u0131, her ne kadar baz\u0131 arterler tart\u0131\u015f\u0131lsa da; \u00f6zellikle \u0130zmir B\u00fcy\u00fck\u015fehir Belediyesi&#8217;nin \u00e7abalar\u0131yla, &#8220;bisiklet yollar\u0131&#8221; a\u00e7\u0131s\u0131ndan \u00fclkemizin en ilerideki \u015fehri olmas\u0131 ve de son y\u0131llar\u0131n en renkli ve anlaml\u0131 etkinliklerinden olan &#8220;S\u00fcsl\u00fc Kad\u0131nlar Bisiklet Turu&#8221; bu at\u0131l\u0131m\u0131n farkl\u0131 ve anlaml\u0131 ad\u0131mlar\u0131d\u0131r. \u00dclkemizde &#8220;bisiklet&#8221; ve &#8220;bisiklet tarihi&#8221; ile de\u011ferli \u00e7al\u0131\u015fmalar yap\u0131lm\u0131\u015ft\u0131r. Ancak konuya \u0130zmir \u00f6zelinde bakarken gene de s\u00f6ylenebilecek s\u00f6zler oldu\u011funu d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcnerek konuyu bu a\u00e7\u0131dan toparlamak istiyorum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;\u0130zmir ve Bisiklet&#8221; kavramlar\u0131 asl\u0131nda zaman i\u00e7inde derin bir birlikteli\u011fe sahiptir. Bir\u00e7ok konuda oldu\u011fu gibi bu alanda da \u0130zmir, \u00fclkemizin \u00f6nc\u00fc \u015fehridir. S\u00f6z\u00fc \u015fehrimize getirmeden \u00f6nce bisikletin k\u0131sa tarih\u00e7esine de bakmak gerekir. G\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczdeki bisikletin atas\u0131 olarak kabul edebilece\u011fimiz ilk iki tekerlekli ara\u00e7 1817 y\u0131l\u0131nda, bir Alman Baronu olan&nbsp; Karl de Drais de Sauerbrun&#8217;un icat etti\u011fi ve ayakla itilerek hareket eden &#8220;drezin&#8221;dir. \u0130ki y\u0131l sonra patenti al\u0131nan ara\u00e7, Avusturya, Birle\u015fik Krall\u0131k, \u0130talya ve Amerika Birle\u015fik Devletleri ba\u015fta olmak \u00fczere pek \u00e7ok \u00fclkede yayg\u0131nla\u015f\u0131r. Bu ara\u00e7 bir ara \u0130ngiltere&#8217;de yeni bir patentle ve &#8220;Yaya at arabas\u0131&#8221; ya da &#8220;Hobi at\u0131&#8221; adlar\u0131yla daha da yayg\u0131nla\u015f\u0131r Ancak bu ara\u00e7 yaln\u0131zca d\u00fczg\u00fcn yollarda kullan\u0131labilmekte ve \u00e7e\u015fitli g\u00fcvenlik sorunlar\u0131 yaratmaktad\u0131r. 1839 y\u0131l\u0131nda Kirkpatrick Macmillan, drezine \u00e7ok benzer, ancak arac\u0131n arka tekerle\u011fini itmek i\u00e7in ayakl\u0131k monte edilmi\u015f iki tekerli bir ara\u00e7 geli\u015ftirir. 1845 y\u0131l\u0131nda ise \u0130ngiltere&#8217;de R.W. Thompson i\u00e7i bo\u015f, hava dolu ve \u015fambrel denilen i\u00e7 lastik patentini al\u0131r. Bu geli\u015fme g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde kullan\u0131lan lastik formu i\u00e7in at\u0131lan ilk \u00f6nemli ad\u0131md\u0131r. Sonunda bisikleti bisiklet yapan en \u00f6nemli aktarma par\u00e7as\u0131 olan &#8220;Pedal&#8221;\u0131n \u00f6n tekerlekte kullan\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 ilk bisiklet,&nbsp;Fransa&#8217;da Pierre&nbsp;ve Ernest Michaux adl\u0131 bir baba o\u011ful taraf\u0131ndan tasarlan\u0131r. Bu model &#8220;Velosipet&#8221; ad\u0131yla an\u0131l\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bu yeni ara\u00e7la d\u00fczenlendi\u011fi bilinen ilk yar\u0131\u015f 1869 y\u0131l\u0131nda Paris\u2019te Saint Cloud Park\u0131&#8217;nda yap\u0131l\u0131r. 1870&#8217;li y\u0131llarda &#8220;Adi&#8221; (\u00e7eyrek peni) olarak bilinen, \u00f6n tekeri 1,5 metre \u00e7ap\u0131ndaki bisikletler pop\u00fclerle\u015fir. D\u00fcnya&#8217;daki ilk pist \u015fampiyonlu\u011fu 1874 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u0130ngiltere\u2019de yap\u0131l\u0131r ve yine bilinen ilk bisiklet kul\u00fcb\u00fc olan &#8220;Bisiklet\u00e7iler Gezi Kul\u00fcb\u00fc&#8221; 1883 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u0130ngiltere\u2019de kurulur. 1886 y\u0131l\u0131nda John Boyd Dunlop, g\u00fcn\u00fcm\u00fczde kullan\u0131lan lastiklerin \u00f6nc\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc yarat\u0131r ve b\u00f6ylelikle ger\u00e7ek anlamda bir bisiklet de hayata ge\u00e7irilmi\u015f olur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bisiklet&#8217;in \u00fclkemiz ile ilk tan\u0131\u015fmas\u0131, 19. Y\u00fczy\u0131l&#8217;\u0131n ikinci yar\u0131s\u0131nda, \u00e7e\u015fitli nedenlerle \u00fclkemize gelen Avrupal\u0131lar nedeniyle ger\u00e7ekle\u015fir. Osmanl\u0131\u2019da bisiklet ile ilgili ilk haber, Filip Efendi taraf\u0131ndan \u0130stanbul&#8217;da bas\u0131lan Tarik Gazetesi&#8217;nin 31 A\u011fustos 1885 tarihli bask\u0131s\u0131nda yer al\u0131r. Habere g\u00f6re &#8220;Thomas \u0130stefanis ad\u0131nda bir Amerikal\u0131, bisikletiyle \u00f6nce \u0130stanbul\u2019a gelir. Ard\u0131ndan \u0130zmit \u00fczerinden be\u015f g\u00fcnl\u00fck bir yolculuktan sonra Ankara\u2019ya ula\u015f\u0131r ve oradan da Yozgat \u00fczerinden Sivas\u2019a ge\u00e7erek yolculu\u011funu s\u00fcrd\u00fcr\u00fcr.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Osmanl\u0131 ar\u015fivindeki kay\u0131tlar\u0131 inceledi\u011fimizde bisiklet s\u00f6zc\u00fc\u011f\u00fcn\u00fcn ge\u00e7ti\u011fi ilk belgenin 1887 y\u0131l\u0131nda yaz\u0131lan bir mektup oldu\u011funu g\u00f6r\u00fcr\u00fcz. Londra&#8217;da bulunan Thilman, Herbert &amp; Cooper Bisiklet &#8211; Trisiklet \u015eirketi ad\u0131na J. Bu mektubun sahibi \u0130sko\u00e7ya Kilisesi Papaz Yard\u0131mc\u0131s\u0131 Hugh Callon&#8217;dur. Mektupla Osmanl\u0131 Devleti&#8217;nden &#8220;Paris&#8217;ten \u0130stanbul&#8217;a kadar bisiklet ile yapaca\u011f\u0131 yolculuk&#8221; i\u00e7in izin talep eder.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bu g\u00fcne kadar Osmanl\u0131 D\u00f6nemi bisiklet tarihi \u00fczerine yaz\u0131lm\u0131\u015f ve payla\u015f\u0131lm\u0131\u015f \u00e7ok say\u0131daki yaz\u0131 ve ara\u015ft\u0131rmada \u0130zmir&#8217;in bu konuda yapt\u0131\u011f\u0131 \u00f6nc\u00fcl\u00fckte hakk\u0131n\u0131n yendi\u011fi a\u00e7\u0131k\u00e7a g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. Oysa \u0130zmir&#8217;deki ilk bisiklet yar\u0131\u015flar\u0131 \u00e7ok daha \u00f6ncedir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u0130zmir&#8217;in bir\u00e7ok alanda &#8220;ilk olma&#8221; \u00f6zelli\u011fini yo\u011fun bi\u00e7imde g\u00f6sterdi\u011fi d\u00f6nem olan 19. Y\u00fczy\u0131l sonlar\u0131na do\u011fru, ilk atletizm yar\u0131\u015f\u0131 15 May\u0131s 1892 tarihinde Bornova&#8217;da ger\u00e7ekle\u015fir. Bornova, bu etkinli\u011fin yan\u0131 s\u0131ra, ayn\u0131 y\u0131l\u0131n Haziran ay\u0131nda ilk bisiklet yar\u0131\u015f\u0131na da sahne olur. \u0130zmir&#8217;de Bornova ve Kar\u015f\u0131yaka ile Kokaryal\u0131 taraflar\u0131, bu spor i\u00e7in \u00e7ok uygun olan a\u011fa\u00e7l\u0131k \u015foselere sahiptir. Bu nedenle \u00f6zellikle Bornova ve Kar\u015f\u0131yaka&#8217;daki yollar o d\u00f6nemlerde &#8220;Velopid&#8221; ad\u0131yla an\u0131lan bisiklet s\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fclerinin gezinti yeri olur. \u0130lk d\u00f6nemlerinde s\u00f6z konusu bisiklet yar\u0131\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n en ba\u015far\u0131l\u0131 s\u00fcr\u00fcc\u00fcs\u00fc Petrica Bazvi&#8217;dir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bir y\u0131l sonra, 1893 y\u0131l\u0131nda atletizm ve bisiklet yar\u0131\u015flar\u0131, Buca Hipodromu&#8217;nda ger\u00e7ekle\u015fir. Buradaki bisiklet yar\u0131\u015flar\u0131 101, 308, 2010, 3216 metreler \u00fczerinden yap\u0131l\u0131r. 1894 y\u0131l\u0131nda, yine ilki Bornova&#8217;da yap\u0131lan ve bir t\u00fcr yerel Olimpiyat Oyunlar\u0131 olarak adland\u0131rabilece\u011fimiz Panionion Oyunlar\u0131 i\u00e7inde bisiklet yar\u0131\u015flar\u0131 da vard\u0131r. Hem bu y\u0131l hem de 1895 y\u0131l\u0131ndaki oyunlarda bisiklet yar\u0131\u015flar\u0131n\u0131n ba\u015flama noktas\u0131, R\u0131ht\u0131m&#8217;da Kraemer Otel&#8217;in \u00f6n\u00fcd\u00fcr. \u0130lk y\u0131l Bornova&#8217;da sonlanan yar\u0131\u015f g\u00fczerg\u00e2h\u0131n\u0131n ikincisinde, bitim noktas\u0131 Kar\u015f\u0131yaka olur. Osmanl\u0131 ar\u015fivinde bisiklet ile ilgili en eski belgelerden biri de bu y\u0131l ile ilgilidir. Belgede, d\u00f6nemin Viyana Konsolosluk Vekili ve Avusturyal\u0131 bir sigorta \u015firketi olan Ankar&#8217;\u0131n Dersaadet y\u00f6neticisi Leonel Bonri&#8217;nin bisikletle ilgili bir talebinden s\u00f6z edilerek &#8220;Konsolos Bonri taraf\u0131ndan d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen Viyana ile Dersaadet aras\u0131n\u0131n bisikletle (yar\u0131\u015f \u015feklinde) katedilmesinin kuvveden fiile ge\u00e7irilmesi ve bu hususun \u015fehzadenin de ho\u015funa gitti\u011fi&#8221; denilmektedir. Ancak aradan bir zaman ge\u00e7tikten sonra bu etkinli\u011fin i\u00e7inde yer alan bisiklet kul\u00fcplerinden biri olan Wolff Ajans\u0131&#8217;n\u0131, Berlin B\u00fcy\u00fckel\u00e7ili\u011fimiz arac\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 ile &#8220;Viyana &#8211; \u0130stanbul aras\u0131nda yap\u0131lmas\u0131 tasarlanan bisiklet yar\u0131\u015f\u0131n\u0131n ertelenmesi.&#8221; bilgisini iletir. Buna kar\u015f\u0131n ger\u00e7ekle\u015febilece\u011fi olas\u0131l\u0131\u011f\u0131 d\u00fc\u015f\u00fcn\u00fclen s\u00f6z konusu yar\u0131\u015f i\u00e7in g\u00fcmr\u00fck muafiyeti karar\u0131 \u00e7\u0131kart\u0131l\u0131r. Kararda &#8220;Viyana&#8217;dan Belgrad tarikiyle \u0130stanbul&#8217;a gelecek olan velesbit cemiyetlerinden baz\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n istimal edece\u011fi bisikletlerin g\u00fcmr\u00fck resminden muaf tutulmas\u0131 ve kendilerine teshilat g\u00f6sterilmesi&#8221; istenmektedir. Ancak bir ba\u015fka belgede yazan &#8220;Viyana&#8217;daki velespit cemiyetlerinin baz\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n \u0130stanbul&#8217;a yapacaklar\u0131 seyahatin baz\u0131 m\u00fc\u015fkiller zuhuru hasebiyle tehir edildi\u011fi&#8221; ifadesinden bu etkinli\u011fin ger\u00e7ekle\u015femedi\u011fi anla\u015f\u0131lmaktad\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00d6te yandan \u0130stanbul&#8217;da da bisiklet kullan\u0131m\u0131 yo\u011funla\u015fmaya ba\u015flam\u0131\u015ft\u0131r ki, bundan rahats\u0131z olunarak &#8220;Beyo\u011flu&#8217;nda velespit ile dola\u015fanlar\u0131n say\u0131s\u0131 \u00e7o\u011fald\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan, bunlar\u0131n Taksim &#8211; \u015ei\u015fli yolu haricinde dola\u015fmalar\u0131na m\u00fcsaade edilmemesi.&#8221; \u00f6nerisi Sadaret Makam\u0131&#8217;na takdim olunur. Ancak verilen yan\u0131tta &#8220;Beyo\u011flu\u2019da bisiklete binenlerin herhangi bir sak\u0131nca do\u011furmad\u0131\u011f\u0131&#8221; bildirilip, yasaklanma uygun g\u00f6r\u00fclmez.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bu arada bir\u00e7ok alanda oldu\u011fu gibi Osmanl\u0131 Devleti&#8217;ne &#8220;bisiklet sat\u0131\u015f\u0131 yap\u0131lmas\u0131&#8221; konusunda \u00e7e\u015fitli ba\u015fvuru ve tan\u0131t\u0131mlarda bulunulmaktad\u0131r. S\u00f6zgelimi d\u00f6nemin Amerika Birle\u015fik Devletleri El\u00e7ili\u011fi &#8220;Bisikletin askeri ama\u00e7larla orduda kullan\u0131lmas\u0131&#8221; konusunu \u00f6nce 1892 y\u0131l\u0131nda yazd\u0131\u011f\u0131 ve ard\u0131ndan 1894 y\u0131l\u0131nda yeniledi\u011fi, do\u011frudan Padi\u015fah&#8217;a yaz\u0131lm\u0131\u015f mektuplar\u0131nda belirtir. K\u0131sa zamanda bu say\u0131n\u0131n k\u0131rk &#8211; elliyi buldu\u011fu da g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bu arada \u015fehrimizde bisikletin \u00f6nc\u00fcs\u00fc olan bu han\u0131mefendilerden baz\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n o d\u00f6nemlerde &#8220;\u00e7\u0131lg\u0131nca&#8221; olarak nitelendirilecek bir davran\u0131\u015fla bir ba\u015fka konuda da farkl\u0131l\u0131k yaratt\u0131klar\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. Bu kad\u0131nlar, uzun eteklerinin alt\u0131na giydikleri \u00e7oraplar\u0131n alt b\u00f6l\u00fcmlerinde makasla daire \u015feklinde delikler a\u00e7\u0131p, bu deliklere renkli kuma\u015f par\u00e7alar\u0131 yamayarak kendilerine \u00f6zg\u00fc bir moda yarat\u0131rlar. Di\u011fer iki \u00f6nemli bisiklet sat\u0131c\u0131s\u0131 ise ayn\u0131 b\u00f6lgedeki Misailidis karde\u015fler ve G. Hekimo\u011flu&#8217;dur. 1896 y\u0131l\u0131 May\u0131s ay\u0131nda Bornova&#8217;da bisiklet ve atletizmin i\u00e7 i\u00e7e oldu\u011fu yar\u0131\u015flar yinelenir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bu arada bisiklet Anadolu&#8217;da da g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr hale gelmi\u015ftir. Yine ar\u015fiv belgelerinden bu konuda ya\u015fanm\u0131\u015f k\u00f6t\u00fc bir olay\u0131n bilgisini de ediniriz. Frank Llync adl\u0131 bir Amerikal\u0131, Erzurum&#8217;da bisiklet ile gezerken \u00f6ld\u00fcr\u00fcl\u00fcr. Katil zanl\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131n tutukland\u0131ktan sonra mahkemece serbest b\u0131rak\u0131lmas\u0131 da \u00e7e\u015fitli sorunlara yol a\u00e7ar. Ancak bu cinayetin bisiklete duyulan tepkiden kaynaklan\u0131p kaynaklanmad\u0131\u011f\u0131 da bilinmemektedir. Bu arada \u00f6zellikle \u0130stanbul ve \u0130zmir&#8217;de bisiklet ve jimnastik konular\u0131nda dergilerin de sat\u0131lmaya ba\u015flad\u0131\u011f\u0131 g\u00f6r\u00fcl\u00fcr. Yar\u0131\u015flar Trisdam ailesi taraf\u0131ndan d\u00fczenlenmektedir.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bisikletle ilgili yay\u0131nlardan da s\u00f6z edersek, T\u00fcrkiye&#8217;de bisiklet konusunda bas\u0131lan ilk kitap, bir seyahatnamedir. Ahmed Tevfik\u2019in 1316\u2019da (1900) yay\u0131mlad\u0131\u011f\u0131 &#8220;Velosiped ile Bir Cevelan (H\u00fcdavendigar Vilayeti D\u00e2hilinde)&#8221; isimli 126 sayfal\u0131k kitap, \u0130stanbul &#8211; Bursa aras\u0131nda bisikletle yap\u0131lan bir gezinin \u00f6yk\u00fcs\u00fcn\u00fc anlat\u0131r. Bisikletle ilgili Osmanl\u0131\u2019da yay\u0131mlanan ilk kitaplardan bir di\u011feri de, genel bir kullan\u0131m ve ba\u015fvuru k\u0131lavuzu olan, Bisiklet Merakl\u0131lar\u0131na Yadig\u00e2r\u2019d\u0131r. D\u00f6nem ko\u015fullar\u0131nda yay\u0131n yapabilmek amac\u0131yla iznin al\u0131nabilmesi i\u00e7in, kitab\u0131n yazar\u0131 M\u00fclaz\u0131m Ali \u0130hsan Efendi, uzun bir denetim s\u00fcrecine t\u00e2bi tutulur. Kitap \u015fu b\u00f6l\u00fcmlerden olu\u015fmaktad\u0131r: &#8220;1- \u015eeraiti s\u0131hhiye iktisa edilecek (giyilecek) elbise, 2- Binmek nas\u0131l \u00f6\u011frenilir, 3- Makinenin m\u00fcrekkebat\u0131 (aksam\u0131), 4- \u0130yi bir makinede bulunmas\u0131 gereken \u015ferait, 5- Bir makine nas\u0131l sat\u0131n al\u0131n\u0131r, 6- Makinede ufak tefek tamirat nas\u0131l yap\u0131l\u0131r.&#8221; Kitapta ayr\u0131ca \u00f6zel olarak yap\u0131ld\u0131\u011f\u0131 belirtilen y\u00fcz kadar resim vard\u0131r.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yine Osmanl\u0131 Ar\u015fivi&#8217;nden elde etti\u011fimiz bir ba\u015fka belgede bisikletle ilgili \u00e7ok ilgin\u00e7 bir bilgi vard\u0131r. &#8220;Fransa Konsolosu nam\u0131na \u0130zmir&#8217;e gelen bir adet bisikletin (g\u00fcmr\u00fckten) ge\u00e7irilmesi hakk\u0131ndaki belgede, s\u00f6z konusu bisikletin &#8220;elektrikli&#8221; oldu\u011fu belirtilmektedir. Ancak bisikletin elektrikli olu\u015f \u015fekliyle ilgili bir a\u00e7\u0131klama da yoktur. Alsancak Stadyumu&#8217;nda start alan bisiklet\u00e7iler Birinci Kordon \u00fczerinden Karata\u015f, Karantina&#8217;y\u0131 ge\u00e7erek K\u00f6pr\u00fc&#8217;ye varmakta; buradaki iskele kar\u015f\u0131s\u0131ndaki sokaktan M\u0131s\u0131rl\u0131 Caddesi&#8217;ne ge\u00e7erek E\u015frefpa\u015fa&#8217;ya ula\u015fan bisiklet\u00e7iler daha sonra K\u0131z\u0131l\u00e7ullu, Tepecik, Mersinli, Halkap\u0131nar&#8217;dan dola\u015farak yar\u0131\u015f\u0131 tekrar Alsancak Stad\u0131&#8217;nda bitirmektedir. 1935 y\u0131l\u0131nda d\u00fczenlenen yar\u0131\u015f\u0131 bir saat \u00fc\u00e7 dakika ile \u0130zmirspor&#8217;dan K\u00e2z\u0131m Bey birinci olarak tamamlarken; Kar\u015f\u0131yaka&#8217;dan Riri Korsini ikinci ve yine lzmirspor&#8217;dan S\u00fcleyman Bey ise \u00fc\u00e7\u00fcnc\u00fc olurlar.
