1958 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u0130zmir’de tarihi Kocakap\u0131 Mahallesi’nde do\u011fdu. 1983 y\u0131l\u0131nda Ege \u00dcniversitesi T\u0131p Fak\u00fcltesi’ni bitirdi. 1990 y\u0131l\u0131ndan ba\u015flayarak anestezi uzman\u0131 ve hastane y\u00f6neticisi olarak hizmet verdi. Mesle\u011fi gere\u011fi s\u00fcrekli halk aras\u0131nda oldu\u011fundan, onlar\u0131n tarihi an\u0131lar\u0131n\u0131 kay\u0131t alt\u0131na al\u0131p, gelecek nesillere aktarmay\u0131 da bir g\u00f6rev bildi. 2005 y\u0131l\u0131nda “Sancakl\u0131 Y\u00f6r\u00fckleri”, 2007 y\u0131l\u0131nda “Unutulan Girit”, 2019 y\u0131l\u0131nda “\u0130\u015ftip G\u00fcl Kokard\u0131 \u0130\u015ftip”, 2025 y\u0131l\u0131nda \u201cMetin Oktay \u2013 Kan, Ter ve Sayg\u0131\u201d adl\u0131 s\u00f6zl\u00fc-tarih kitaplar\u0131 yay\u0131mland\u0131.\u00a0<\/p>\n
